Ever since I began attending professional conferences, during whatever part of my career development path I was on, I wanted to facilitate. Conferences are exciting. I always walk away inspired by new perspectives. It's such a great way to learn.
When I finally got the opportunity to instruct, at Art Education Association conferences, and at CSU Sacramento College of Continuing Education, I felt absolute joy helping others learn. By breaking content down in an interesting, memorable way using the technique of showing as much as sharing, retention increases.
The great thing about knowing visual design is using its principals and elements to engage a learner; to communicate clearly, and to make sure what needs attention, gets attention. And now, I get to share some of my knowledge with Learning and Development professionals at the Multimedia for Learning Online Conference next month.
