I'm so excited to be speaking with Brent Schlenker, one of the hosts of the Instructional Design In Offices Drinking Coffee (IDIODC) podcast. They've had some amazing guests on their show and I'm honored to have been invited to talk about a topic I love, visual design.
I grabbed three random slides and redesigned them as an exercise to share on the podcast. During the process, I describe the design choices I make to create a better visual experience. It was a great exercise and I recommend anyone interested in improving their design techniques to try it. Find a design that just doesn't work well and try to make it better. Think about design principles like: contrast, consistency, alignment, proximity, and white space. As well as design elements like: fonts, graphics, and color.
In my next post, I'll share the before and after images, I shared on the show.
